Asima Jansveld
Chief Program and Engagement Officer, High Line

Asima focuses on the intersection of social & economic impacts of place-based policies & programs, and currently serves as the Chief Program and Engagement Officer at the High Line, an elevated rail park in New York City. Asima ensures the High Line centers community across its engagement, partnerships and programs, through public art, horticulture, education, and public programming. As part of her role, she also leads the High Line Network, a strategic hub for leaders reimagining urban infrastructure as equitable public spaces. Previously, Asima served as a Principal in both the Inclusive Cities and Resilience practices at HR&A Advisors, Deputy Programme Manager of the European Urban Knowledge Network, and Vice President focused on interagency master planning initiatives at the NYC Economic Development Corporation.

Asima regularly contributes internationally to thought leadership on issues of equitable development and public spaces. Asima also serves on her town’s Planning Board and volunteers for Impact100 Garden State.
